Expressing what matters
Move from a broad frustration toward a clear situation, your own experience, and a practical request. We can make room for uncertainty while helping you communicate more specifically.
FAMILY LIFE COACHING / COMMUNICATION
Some conversations feel difficult before they even begin. Coaching can offer time to prepare, understand what you want to express, and explore ways of listening that leave room for different perspectives.
Talk about communication
WHAT WE CAN EXPLORE
These are possible starting points. Your questions and circumstances guide the focus.
Move from a broad frustration toward a clear situation, your own experience, and a practical request. We can make room for uncertainty while helping you communicate more specifically.
Practice noticing what you heard, asking what you missed, and finding out what kind of response would be useful. Understanding a perspective does not require agreeing with it.
Explore timing, written notes, processing time, AAC, or another preferred way to communicate. We can discuss how to pause a conversation, return to it, or choose a different format.
WHAT THIS MIGHT LOOK LIKE
You might say, “I know what I mean, but it comes out as criticism.” We could work with one everyday example, clarify the need underneath it, and prepare a message you would feel comfortable using.
SPACE TO REFLECT
IN AND BETWEEN SESSIONS
A session might include preparing a conversation, practicing a specific request, or reflecting on what happened after you tried something. Joint exercises are voluntary and suited to ordinary disagreements where people feel safe participating.

You do not need a perfectly defined goal to get in touch.
